Package: mailman Version: 2.1.5-8 Severity: normal Tags: patch When you have bad emails in an emaillistex in the admin interface (such as privacy/sender/discard_these_nonmembers), the error lists all the email addresses instead of just the bad ones. This is annoying when you have heaps of addresses (including a few bad ones) that were added from the admindb interface with the "Add [EMAIL PROTECTED] to one of these sender filters:" option (which doesn't seem to check if the email is valid).
The attached patch applies to mailman 2.1.7-1, and makes mailman only report the bad addresses instead of all of the addresses. There is one problem - in 2.1.5, it causes mailman to traceback when the admin puts a % sign in the discard_these_nonmembers/etc box. I'm not really sure how to fix this, or if the same thing happens in 2.1.7. Anyways, it would be nice if this could find its way upstream at some point. BTW, any plans to switch to quilt instead of dpatch? Seeing as there are so many patches, that might reduce the time needed to prepare and update patches. -- bye, pabs http://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
