Hi. I am using debian buster with network-manager. I will test the symlinks later, I guess this will be the problem. Currently there are some issues with gnome (mate) packages in buster anyway.

Gnome renders the title bar client side. gtk3-nocsd should prevent this, but for gajim it does not work. I suspect that the preloaded library is somewhere lost between python and the gtk libraries loaded by python. >> But for debian buster probably the 0.16.8-5 issues are more important, >> which is that it does not reconnect after suspend to disk, while it for >> example works with pidgin. gajim seems to reconnect after network >> disconnects as well, just not after suspend. > > I asked in the MUC (ga...@conference.gajim.org). I think something like reacting on network-managers ifdown and not on ifup or similar may be the problem, because else I would expect it to reconnect at least after some retries. Alex
