Hi,

I use the dconf-key
/org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/xsettings/overrides to set the
xsettings keys "Gtk/ButtonImages" and "Gtk/MenuImages" to 1, in order to
display icons in GTK menus.

Unfortunately, this is overwritten by gnome-tweak-tool when enabling or
disabling "Application menu" in the "Top bar" tab (sorry, this may not
be the exact text, I'm translating from French, "LANG=C
gnome-tweak-tool" doesn't work), by replacing the whole string with
"{'Gtk/ShellShowsAppMenu':<1>}" (or 0), regardless of other xsettings
overrides that were already present.

This is very annoying, gnome-tweak-tool should detect if other keys are
already present, and add its override to the string, not overwrite the
whole string.

The bugs is at least present in Stretch and Sid, although I suspect (but
can't confirm) that it appeared way before that.

Regards,
