Hi Steve, Just revisiting this bug. I've prepared a new NMU for freetype-2.8.1-0.2.
A debdiff is attached to this mail. Due to package breakages, I will use delayed/10 and file bugs (severity: important) with packages that do not use pkg-config. Once the NMU reaches Sid, any remaining bugs will have their severity raised to Serious. Hugh
