Package: devscripts Version: 2.9.12 Severity: wishlist If dch is unable to determine the e-mail address, it takes the username and adds /etc/mailname. On many systems, this may not be a sensible value. If the user is defined in /etc/email-addresses, it is quite likely that this lists a valid e-mail address for him/her. I think it would be good to use this value before falling back to [EMAIL PROTECTED] /etc/mailname`.
