Package: gdb-avr Version: 7.7-4+b1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
when trying to use Python scripts in avr-gdb, the following message is printed: "Scripting in the "Python" language is not supported in this copy of GDB." Obviously, this means that debugger scripting will not work with avr-gdb. If possible, please enable --with-python during package building, like it is done in the regular gdb packages. Thank you. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (900, 'stable'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (300, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.14.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gdb-avr depends on: ii libc6 2.25-3 ii libexpat1 2.2.3-2 ii libncurses5 6.0+20171125-1 ii libtinfo5 6.0+20171125-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-5 gdb-avr recommends no packages.
