Package: pyscanfcs Version: 0.2.3+ds-1 Severity: important Dear maintainer,
I am the maintainer of the "python-astropy" package which is a dependency of pyscanfs. the package "pyscanfcs" still uses Python version 2.7, which is going to be obsolete in a few years. Astropy just now announced the release candidate of the next version 3.0, which is Python-3-only [1]. Therefore, the Debian astropy package for Python 2.7 will be removed in a foreseeable time. Although no schedule is set for this, it will surely happen before the next Debian release. That's why I would ask you to migrate the package to Python 3.
