either 1) the problem is in the package 'debian' directory somewhere - possibly one of the patches that warn that files are patched more than once
(eg dpkg-source: warning: diff 'coveragepy/debian/patches/03.remove-hotkeys.patch' patches file coveragepy/coverage/htmlfiles/coverage_html.js more than once dpkg-source: warning: diff 'coveragepy/debian/patches/03.remove-hotkeys.patch' patches file coveragepy/coverage/htmlfiles/index.html more than once dpkg-source: warning: diff 'coveragepy/debian/patches/03.remove-hotkeys.patch' patches file coveragepy/coverage/htmlfiles/pyfile.html more than once )...trying to run a slightly updated verison of the 'debian' directory(ie one with an updated changelog) on the 4.4.2 source fails in the exact same way. 2) problem is in upstream code, in the current version 4.4.2 https://bitbucket.org/ned/coveragepy hope that helps.
