Package: trac Version: 1.2+dfsg-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
the trac version (1.2) in Debian Stretch is incompatible with the Debian Stretch versions of MySQL server (5.5+) and MariaDB server (10.1). The problem has been also discussed on https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg29294.html. Unfortunately, the trac developers rejected to fix the MySQL compatibility issue in trac 1.2 since they want trac 1.2 to stay compatible to python 2.6. The compatibility issue has been fixed in trac 1.3. Since Debian stable, testing, and unstable do not provide a compatible trac version (1.3+) mysql/mariadb users have to switch to a manual trac installation. Is it possible to upgrade the trac package (at least in unstable) to solve this compatibility issue?
