Package: debian-policy Version: 4.1.3.0 Severity: important Hi,
There are several scripts, containing [#], are not valid shell scripts, which are located in the following chapters: § 6.8 § 9.1.2 § 9.3.3.1 § 10.9.1 The common problems are that three characters before ] are truncated, and replaced by [#], probably due to the conversion script. I am setting the severity to important because maintainers may just copy and paste the script from Debian Policy, doubting if that's actually valid. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.14.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages debian-policy depends on: ii libjs-sphinxdoc 1.6.5-4 debian-policy recommends no packages.
