No, users of AMD or Intel GPUs do not need any NVIDIA proprietary libraries. Perhaps they should only be Suggests though. nvidia-driver-libs:amd64 already has a Recommends on nvidia-driver-libs-i386, so perhaps that's a better way to arrange for NVIDIA users to have drivers for both word-sizes. smcv
