a version KiCad 5 are not rumors any more. :-) Upstream is a small step before doing the first release candidate of KiCad5, should happen *this* weekend. I'm working on preparations for bringing KiCad 5 into Debian for quite some months now. We already have now new binary package in experimental that are needed to have a more granual constellation of packages around the main KiCad tools. Please have a look at the wiki site I've set up and keep up to date. https://wiki.debian.org/KiCad The simulation part which is needed ngspice will need some more time. I'm sitting right now on the source package kicad itself and hopefully can upload this with a pre version of KiCad 5 within the next week or so into experimental. Regards Carsten
