Hi, I just wanted to let you know that working on the related Ubuntu bug uncovered a dependency to systemd versions. The suggested fix works were a system is affected, but it is a bit of a big hammer. OTOH the systemd fix that solves it in newer versions is yet unknown.
I'd ask you to read through [1] when you start to work on this bug to fetch the latest status. That avoids the need for double posting on any new small step forward.
