I am unable to reproduce this bug. When I run this command I hit the Maximum number of clients reached limit, so only some of the windows open, but no crash. In addition your system info seems to be outdated (your fvwm version is) and maybe a stretch/sid mix. I am going to close this bug. If you can reproduce it in a clean stretch or sid environment with current patches, you can reopen the bug. Including the .png file that cause the problem could also help. jaimos
