While doing the NMU for #821970 I had a look at adding dh-autoreconf support. It's made a bit more complex by configure.ac not being at the root of the source package. Unfortunately the nice way of adding this requires debhelper compat 10 and I didn't want to make a major change like that in an NMU without asking first. So I am asking if it's OK for me to update the packaging a bit to use debhelper compat 10 and dh which should make it easy to fix this bug. James
