Hi, This sounds like an upstream regression. The Nvidia driver is proprietary and binary-only so there's little we can do I'm afraid. I recommend to report the issue upstream, for example on the support forum: https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/board/98/linux/ If you report back the link to the new thread I'll add it to the bug.
