I hope I didn't sound too pushy. I feel quite convinced of my opinion

I completely agree, I also acknowledged this fact:

Of course, all of us understand that this is a pain, but a separate
problem to deal with when synaptic is fixed (and fixing synaptic helps
"pressuring" maintainers to fix their deps).

I don't understand the exact ways in which synaptic relies on apt, but
I still acknowledged that fact:
