Package: ganeti-instance-debootstrap
Version: 0.16-5
Severity: wishlist

Currently ganeti-instance-debootstrap, in variants.list, only lists a
'default' variant (and provides the variants/default.conf for it). Could
it also provide support for specific releases by name. I think the
current stable, oldstable, and maybe testing and unstable release names.
I don't know if it works but maybe the generic names work too? So
variants.list could contain

default
jessie
stretch
buster
sid
oldstable
stable
testing
unstable

and the variants/ dir contain conf files for them (or symlinks).

Then with 'gnt-instance add -o ' one could use debootstrap+whatever to
get the various things.

The only downside I can think of is having to maintain that list over time.
What do you think?

Thanks,
