Package: libapache-mod-ldap Version: 1.4-7.1 Followup-For: Bug #172769 Hi.
As already mentioned in wishlist request 237231 it seems that http://mod-ldap.sourceforge.net/ is including improvements. A specific patch sumitted for that newer version provides the ability to give users a second chance whenever failing on the first authentication. I think it would solve the present issue. More details in : http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=920566&group_id=95678&atid=612244 P.S. would Debian maintainer decide to switch to the alternate project in sf.net, I would very much suggest that the two other pending patches be applied too ;) : http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=95678&atid=612244 We use them everyday and that seems to be working fairly well.
