I just had a look at this bug and realized that the missing kaffe.applet.AppletViewer class is part of the old peerless lightweight AWT implementation.
As the debian package is configured/build with the default peerfull AWT implementation these classes are not included.
They are also not compatible with the current classpath interfaces for the applet package (classpath is at 1.4 - the AppletViewer implementation at 1.3 - missing some methods)
I therefore propose to remove the appletviewer command from the kaffe package (and the alternative for appletviewer) and close this bug.
