adequate already seems to try to check this, but for some reason it doesn't find the libinput-dev problem.
adequate checks these dependencies only if the pkg-config package is installed.libinput-dev currently depends on it transitively, but I think it didn't back when this bug was filed, and AFAICS piuparts doesn't install it on its own
