I see this bug is still forwarded to me. As far as I know, we've figured out what to do:
1. Revert change in base-files (done). 2. Make /etc/nsswitch.conf not a conffile anymore. 3. Make libnss-mdns add mdns after "dns" in /etc/nsswitch.conf. It looks like the ball's in Santiago's court to move on with step 2.. -- see shy jo
