Source: faac Version: 1.29.7.7-1 Severity: wishlist Hi Fabian and others,
After reading about improvements of faac on hydrogenaudio[0], I was interested in using it, but its version is outdated, while the latest version already packaged is 1.29.9. [0]: <https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,114363.msg947754.html> It would be sweet to have 1.29.9 and even better to have 1.29.9.2 to have the improvements reported there (Intensity Stereo, PNS) and evaluation against other encoders. BTW, I saw on their git mirror repo[1] that some files with (to me) unfamiliar licenses were substituted with LGPLv3+ (e.g., Huffman encoding) and some unused files were removed, which is, possibly, one step closer to being free'er.
