Package: ept
Severity: wishlist

Hi. I was looking for adept to enter testing to try it, wondering how it
would compare to synaptic. After hitting a few bugs, I came to wonder
about the unusually low number of bug reports on it, before reading the
package description.

I appreciate that the software's quality is indicated in the
description, but I doubt that it's enough to make it suitable for
release. Getting in stable means adept will take archive space, space on
CDs, get security support, etc. All this seems a lot for alpha software
which has alternatives. I think adept should be removed from testing. I
don't know if it makes sense to keep it in unstable but not in testing,
so maybe it should only be in experimental.

I have considered mailing the maintainers about this but sent a bug
report instead. You may tag it wontfix or just close it if you disagree.
