This is probably all related: This went into 4.9.102: https://www.spinics.net/lists/kernel/msg2808364.html This into 4.9.107: https://www.spinics.net/lists/stable/msg242657.html And this went into 4.9.112: https://www.spinics.net/lists/stable/msg246729.html Apparently kernels from 4.9.107 to 4.9.111 don't boot correctly.
