Package: evince Version: 0.4.0-1 Severity: normal The evince Print dialog has a Layout option in the Paper tab. It allows you to print more than one page onto a sheet of paper (e.g. 2 pages to 1), saving space and trees.
It's a great idea, but it doesn't work. I select it (2 pages to 1), click on "Print", but the paper comes out one page per sheet just as normal. Pity, really. The pdf file it tried this with was http://www.aps.org/meet/MAR06/baps/mar06_corrigenda.pdf Drew p.s. there are a number of other issues with the print dialog: - Print Preview is shaded out - "Create a PDF document" is listed as a "printer", but when you select it and click "Print", it refuses, saying "Generating PDF is not supported". If it isn't supported then why was it listed there!! - The "Generic Postscript" printer (print to file) works, but there is something dodgy about the output.
