Hi all, I am having the same problem with my Asus Zenbook: it booted fine with linux-image-4.16.0-2-amd64 but wasn't booting with linux-image-4.17.0-1-amd64. The specific problem was that the boot sequence hung and near the end the following was displayed (copying from a screen capture):
