That seems odd: the systemd --user instance is started via PAM for login sessions. The PAM config for cron should contain: @include common-session-noninteractive which does *not* include pam_systemd.so Please check, which PAM config is used and does pull in pam_systemd.so in your case. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
