I agree with you. However, autopkgtest asks apt-get to install the
required packages. AFAIK we as apt-get to output as much info as it can
about the issue. If we want to know more, we need to write logic to
detect that. To be honest, you are free to provide patches for that, but
I am not going to write it.

Reading your original report again, do you think the first block
actually contained the info you needed? Than the text could read
(something along these lines):

badpkg: Test dependencies are unsatisfiable. The output of apt-get

'''
