It is possible to move these to Recommends: - autopkgtest - madison-lite - pristine-tar These are indeed only used by the sbuild setup script that openstack-pkg-tools provides. This one can go away, as I moved from using it to jq (it was used by pkgos-debpypi, to parse the XML, but now I'm using jq to parse a json file instead): - libxml-xpath-perl However, what's below are hard dependencies, used during the build of OpenStack packages: - gettext - po-debconf That's what I've done in version 84 of openstack-pkg-tools which I'm about to upload to Experimental.
