Great. I followed the recipe and this is a summary of what I tried so far: - It builds ok in a n1-standard-1 machine from GCE. - It fails in the described way in my KVM machine. - I've reinstalled the KVM machine from scratch, and it still fails. I infer that the chroot is ok and I'm not using sbuild improperly. My theory is that the test suite makes some assumptions about the underlying machine which may or may not hold (it could be overall CPU speed, for example). Thanks.
