I didn't look into the new version yet, because it is still marked as
'unstable' by upstream. If you prefer to have it in debian anyway, it would be
good to know how upstream is planning to handle API/ABI changes in the
unstable branch. If there are incompatible changes without the necessary
changes to the library version, that would be harder to maintain.

If you want to work on this, feel free to go ahead and do so (including
uploading the package).

I'm removing the patch tag, because the patch doesn't deal with the library
version change (5 -> 6) and the accompanying binary package rename, or the
missing symbols in the symbols file.

A new package will have to pass through the NEW queue (this is best done with
an upload to experimental first).

Moving to a new library version will also require a (small) library
transition, to rebuild the reverse dependencies (apcupsd and collectd). You'll
need to make sure they still work with the new version of the library.

Cheers,

Ivo
