If it helps you can copy the template in https://salsa.debian.org/med-team/community/package_template/tree/master/debian/tests We usually design the test in a way that users can also run it on their local machine. There are several examples in other Debian Med packages (for instance in t-coffee - which is not a specific example I'm just mentioning it since it was just on my desk due to #909530 which needs some work as well). > I have prior knowledge of packaging and have worked in golang, ruby , js , > font team before hand .
