The init script /etc/init.d/ovn-host uses _SYSTEMCTL_SKIP_REDIRECT=true This is an internal implementation detail of the systemd LSB hook and should not be set in init scripts. As a matter of fact, this variable was renamed in the mean time. Skipping the redirection can have undesired side effects. If you boot with systemd, then restart the service via /etc/init.d/ovn-host restart, the process will no longer be tracked properly. Therefor please drop the usage of _SYSTEMCTL_SKIP_REDIRECT from the init script.
