I can see that there was some action towards your suggestion on launchpad[0] some time ago, but I think they may have stopped working on that. Meanwhile, do you think it's worth fixing this by adding menu as a dependency, Raphaƫl? I wonder if the benefit of fixing the menu entry is worth depending on it, this will make our package equal to Ubuntu's AFAIK[1].
