Library packages have the soname in their name and development packages (the one you definitely need for development with Thrift) named as lib...-dev. In this case it's called libthrift-dev. Eric, do you still intend to package ScyllaDB? Seems to be a nice addition to Debian and the NoSQL database era in general especially that its 3.0 release is around the corner.
