Source: xword Version: 2.0.0~rc2-1 Severity: serious Tags: buster sid xword is now the last package keeping the unmaintained gnome-python-desktop in Debian. It is recommended that the app be ported to gtk3 and GObject Introspection.
I reached out to the Debian Maintainer in January about this issue. He asked for some time before the package would be removed. I followed up in March and again a month ago but haven't heard back yet about whether progress has been made on the porting. Therefore, I intend to file a removal bug for xword for unstable. It was removed from Testing a year ago. Please let me know promptly if you agree or object to the removal. If xword is removed, it can be re-added to Debian once the dependency issue has been fixed. Note that the package must reach Testing by early February to be part of the Debian 10 "Buster" release.
