Package: git-buildpackage
Version: 0.9.10+nmu1
Severity: minor
Dear Guido,
when I try to use gbp to do an initial push to Debian salsa-project,
it failed with a strange error:
gbp:error: revision 'debian/0.0_git20151108.ce61ec4-1^{commit}' not found
With the help from Michael Stapelberg <stapelberg @ debian.org>, the
problem was identified thus solved, but he continued on with:

So here is the bug report -- in summary,
It only works when the changelog has the “UNRELEASED” as the
distribution, but when it is changed to something real, it will failed
with the above error.
The whole log is at
http://paste.debian.net/1053985/
The relevant part is from line 35~75.
I think most people will do the final push when everything is ready,
including changing the superficial “UNRELEASED” to some real.
So please consider correcting it.
Thanks
Tong
