Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal python-fastfunc was packaged as a dependency of optimesh in connection with ITP#910279.
However on closer inspection, the optimesh dependencies formed a complex web of deeper dependencies (there were many others besides fastfunc). The upstream author himself said don't bother packaging it, just use pypi. So I've retracted ITP#910279, consequently we don't need fastfunc after all. The salsa repo for python-fastfunc remains for now. I also created a salsa repo for python-quadpy, another optimesh dependency, but never uploaded the quadpy packages before making the decision to halt on optimesh. Drew
