Package: gaim
Version: 1:1.5.0+1.5.1cvs20051015-2
Severity: important

Hi,
since today, gaim crashes just after login to ICQ. If I press Cancel
quickly on the autoconnect button I can use Jabber just fine.
No relevant packages were upgraded since yesterday, when it still worked
just fine... nor does "stat `ldd /usr/bin/gaim /usr/lib/gaim/*`" show
any files changes since the last successful start of gaim.

Here's a backtrace:

obtained by running "gdb gaim".

Stderror output of gaim:

I have one guess: I added some users to my "ignore" list yesterday. Random
people have started chatting me up on ICQ recently, so I added one of them
to this list yesterday, and maybe she wrote a message.
I just thought this might be related, because of
  gaim_privacy_
appearing in the backtrace, this is a privacy setting, and when adding the
user to the ignore list some error had occurred...
There is something weird with ICQ right now. e.g.
http://wwp.icq.com/264908634
gives an error message. However I've been receiving messages from this UID.
I don't know which client this might be, sending smiley strings such as
@[smiley: Penguin: [16/16_3_46]] which seems to be a reference to
http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_3_46.gif

UPDATE: Removing the entry from my blocklist helped. I didn't have to remove
all entries from the blocklist, so it seems something is broken with ICQ
and this userid. When I try to add this user again to my blocklist I get a
generic "failed to add" error; when removing it in the GUI gaim crashes.
I then need to remove the entry manually from the blist.xml file again.
