please, forget my previous e-mail, everything is o.k. As I just learned, I was misled by the output of the ldd command. The right command is $ readelf -d /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/numpy/linalg/lapack_lite.x86_64-linux-gnu.so | So everything is fine with numpy now. Many thanks again. Regards, Jörg.
