This is now solved, I posted the solution in the Debian bug and there.
I don't see what you want to be documented exactly, the options
understood by the plugin seem to be listed in the nsdejavu(1) manual
page (it's shipped by upstream, I can't tell for Debian). Isn't it
enough for javascript writers to know what they should put in the URL
or EMBED tags?
If you're willing to write a javascript recipes list, the Debian
maintainer would probably be happy to ship it in the Debian package.
