At the moment casparcg-server is built without support for using a web
page / HTTP as one of its layers. This make it much harder to add text
and graphics on top of the videos being played. The reason for building
without HTTP support is simply that the drawing component, Chromium
Embedded Framework (CEF), is not available in Debian at the moment.

There is a WNPP request for CEF[1], but it in turn require a binary
package with the chromium source[2]. CasparCG is not the only package
using CEF. Both nageru and obs-browser would work better with CEF
support.
