Coming back to this a year later. The only reason I am adding to the thread is that I am moving over to python3. I can report that the bug exists in python3 as well as python 2; the only difference is that when it crashes in python 3 it just says "Segmentation fault". In python 2 it says *** Error in `python': malloc(): memory corruption: 0x000056280f863970 *** ======= Backtrace: ========= <Massive backtrace snipped> Aborted
