Hi
I still want to keep the current fonts dependency. First, with that
dependency, the normal users CAN use fctix immediatly. (though,
without the dependecny, fcitx MAY work). Second, Arphic fonts are the
only offical free chinese truetype packages available for Debian
currently. Not everyone is Debian guru, and can setup fonts themselves
;). If without other strong reason, I will not change the
dependency.
