Package: libapache2-mod-fcgid Version: 1.05-1 Severity: important When using apache2 with the worker mpm in Sarge, mod_fcgid fails to accept post requests larger than approximately 1k.
Scenario: I run squirrelmail over ssl. PHP is configured to run using FastCGI. When attempting to compose a mail in squirrelmail and add an attachment that is greater in size than 10k when using mod_fcgid for FastCGI, the compose form is reset, and the attachment never makes it into /var/spool/squirrelmail/attach. When the same operation is attempted when using mod_fastcgi for FastCGI, the attachment operation succeeds (the compose form is not reset, and the file appears in /var/spool/squirrelmail/attach). It appears that something in mod_fcgid is preventing POST requests of any significant size from succeeding, at least with PHP. Small POST requests do, however, seem to work (1k attachments succeed). -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.15.4.021506 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages libapache2-mod-fcgid depends on: ii apache2-common 2.0.54-5 next generation, scalable, extenda ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libdb4.2 4.2.52-18 Berkeley v4.2 Database Libraries [ ii libexpat1 1.95.8-3 XML parsing C library - runtime li -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
