Package: alpine
Version: 2.21+dfsg1-1.1
Severity: important

I’ve set this in .pinerc, over (S)etup or manually, doesn’t matter:

url-viewers="/usr/bin/lynx _URL_"

I’ve also tried just lynx, or nothing… same effect: the screen only
flickers and lynx is not shown.

I suspect it tries to run the browser in the background, which
obviously cannot work.

This is
1) a major regression from pine
2) making it impossible to view HTML mails (which, in pine,
were rendered internally, without the need for a browser,
   which is another major regression)
