this is valid only for FF ESR. the latest versions are build without ALSA support per default. you would have to compile FF with ALSA enabled and PULSE disabled to get sound in FF on pure ALSA systems. please read: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1247056#c178
