Debian 6/squeeze has been end-of-life since early 2016, so I am closing this bug. If you know how to trigger this shutdown bug in Debian 9/stretch (calibre 2.75.1+dfsg-1), buster (3.35.0+dfsg-1), or sid (3.39.1+dfsg-2) please go ahead and either reopen this bug or file a new one.
