Package: hashcat Version: 5.1.0+ds1-1 Severity: normal The hashcat manpage documents an attack mode 8 for the PRINCE attack, and various PRINCE-specific options; however, those options don't appear to have ever existed in the history of this hashcat codebase; they're part of "hashcat-legacy", not oclhashcat (which seems to have become the new "hashcat").
The manpage should not document options that do not exist. (Also, please consider having hashcat Suggest princepreprocessor.) -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages hashcat depends on: ii beignet-opencl-icd [opencl-icd] 1.3.2-6 ii hashcat-data 5.1.0+ds1-1 ii libc6 2.28-7 ii libxxhash0 0.6.5-2 ii mesa-opencl-icd [opencl-icd] 18.3.4-1 ii pocl-opencl-icd [opencl-icd] 1.2-5 hashcat recommends no packages.
